Kentucky Paws Animal Hospital is a labor of love. We meticulously planned every detail of the clinic, from the custom door frames to the brass cabinet handles. Exceptional Veterinary Care
Annual Preventative Care
These examinations are the most important part of preventative healthcare for pets in all stages of life. Preventative healthcare involves vaccinations, deworming, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
Dental
It’s important for annual oral examinations to determine whether your pet needs a dental cleaning. We understand at-home dental care can be difficult, so we recommend regular dental cleanings as most periodontal disease lies underneath the gumline.
Radiographs
Not all illnesses or injuries can be seen by the naked eye – that’s where digital X-rays come into play.
Laboratory
We offer lab work to be formed both in-house with same-day results or the option to send out to a reference lab for evaluation. A variety of samples can be collected and cytology evaluated to look for evidence of infection, inflammation, or cancerous cells.
Surgery
Dr. Dettmer’s favorite thing about veterinary medicine is being in the operating room. You can feel confident that your loved one will be in excellent hands with Dr. Dettmer when it comes to surgery!
A Purr-fect Place for Cats
We have a cat-only exam room with pheromone diffusers to help keep cats calm, along with custom fiberglass cages to help keep them warm and eliminate loud noises.
